Miss Aurora

 Head Instructor

Miss Aurora brings a rich blend of technical expertise, continuous learning, and multidisciplinary artistry to our studio.

Her dance journey is a powerful testament to starting at any age. Having begun her own training as a teenager and continuing through adult classes, Aurora brings deep empathy, encouragement, and relatability to students of all backgrounds. That passion for growth defines her approach as an educator: she attends national teacher conventions annually and actively pursues professional development, believing that great teachers never stop learning.

With nine years as a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor, Aurora holds an extensive credential portfolio which also includes ADAPT Jazz and Dynamic Ballet, PointeSafe, Tap Roots foundational tap, PAEC, and the Ready Set Dance preschool teacher lab. This broad technical foundation allows her to nurture dancers safely and skillfully across every age group and style.

Aurora is a visual artist who spends her free time painting, exploring photography, and working with textile arts. These creative pursuits constantly feed her choreographic vision, bringing a distinct artistic eye, texture, and inspiration into the dance studio.

Miss Nyla

Nyla has been a dancer for 20 years and has been competing for 11. During those years she's been able to travel to San Diego, Vancouver, and attended the Dance World Cup in Prague in 2024. She is going into her 4th year of university and has been a member of MacEwans dance team for each of those years. Last year and for the upcoming year she has been an Executive Member as their Events Coordinator.

Working with youth has always been Nyla's purpose in life, and being able to teach her passion at the same time makes it the perfect career path.

For the 2026-2027 season, Miss Nyla is choreographing solos and duets for SRDS students. You will find Miss Nyla at our dance festivals bringing her valuable mentorship and guidance to our studio.

Miss Taylor

Miss Taylor began her dancing at age 3 in Peace Region Dance Society before moving to Smoky River Dance Society. Throughout her years of dance she has done ballet, jazz, acro, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, hip-hop and tap. She returned to Peace Region Dance Society in 2021 to continue her journey in the competitive stream. In 2023 she then returned to Smoky River Dance Society to teach at her home studio and has since formed a true bond with our dancers.

For the 2026-2027 season Miss Taylor is choreographing solos and duets for SRDS students. We are thrilled to have Taylor at our dance festivals, where she’ll join our team of instructors to help guide and lead our dancers.
